NON-SWIMMER

Here, we will help you to choose the correct stage for your child.

At Non-Swimmer, your child will not be able to travel through the water unless supported by a teacher or swimming aids, like armbands. Teachers will be in the water with your child and will use a minimum manipulation method, so that they can get used to holding their own body in the water. Your child won’t use flotation aids. Your child should be comfortable with their face being in the water and being gently splashed.

If you think this is the correct stage for your child, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Level

NON-SWIMMER

In the Non-Swimmer stage, your child will develop the following skills:
• Learn how to correctly hum and blow bubbles under water
• Push from the wall and grab onto a safe place
• Build foundations of the kicking technique, travelling 5m with help
• Hold floating positions, like star float
• Learn a front crawl arm action

Parents Help

NON-SWIMMER level

At Non-Swimmer level, it is beneficial if your child is aware that they will be in a group environment, away from parents, so that they know what to expect. We ask that you help our teachers by making sure your child turns up to the lessons with cap and googles on, and Passport in hand, ready to swim. Please blow your child’s nose and take them to the toilet before the lesson so that there is minimum disruption to the class.
